Children and Families
At Quest, martial arts instruction is for everyone no matter your age or fitness level. We welcome students as young as five years old and strongly encourage parents to participate alongside their children. Instruction is provided according to skill level in mixed age groups. Our classes are small to accommodate plenty of one-on-one support and encouragement as students strive to reach their personal goals.
Research has shown that children who participate in martial arts:
- Are more motivated
- Show higher aspirations
- Set goals and achieve them
- Have a positive attitude
- Improve their mental focus
- Do better in school
- Are less likely to be the victim of bullying
We are preparing children for success the rest of their lives!
Character development is the foundation of everything we do at Quest, and after two months of basic instruction, students are evaluated to determine their interest and readiness to pursue training for a black belt. If they meet the required standards, students have two paths to choose from:
BLACK BELT CLUB
Students learn the value of a good attitude, good habits, good manners and self-control. In every lesson they focus on being a good student and a self-starter. This section includes continuing martial arts instruction on the way to black belt excellence.
In addition to learning the concepts presented in the Black Belt Club, students in the leadership program learn the fundamentals of leadership in class and in small groups. They also learn that a leader has the power to influence the thoughts and actions of others through example. This section includes continuing martial arts instruction on the way to black belt excellence.
A lifetime of greatness starts here!
Service is an integral part of character development and leadership, and as part of our curriculum at Quest, we provide students with frequent opportunities to serve in our community. Participation isn’t mandatory, but we strongly encourage our students to experience the positive benefits of reaching out and helping others.
Our recent outreach has included:
- Luke 14 Dinner for the needy
- Christmas in July, a clothing drive
- Good Friday volunteering at a nearby homeless shelter
- Samaritans Purse Operation Christmas Child
- Thanksgiving Day Outreach
Our students make a difference!
Bullying has become one of the primary concerns for our youth today. Quest Martial Arts offers the Safe Schools/Safe Streets program, a proven curriculum that helps children stay safe and avoid becoming the victim of bullying and teaches them effective ways to stand up for others who are being bullied.
Children are taught:
- How to avoid confrontation and conflict
- Safe and peaceful conflict resolution
- Awareness of others
- How to trust their intuition
- Basic self-defense
…and much more
At Quest we so strongly believe in our anti-bullying program that we offer it FREE to schools and non-profit youth organizations. Through our program, sponsoring organizations are provided with the ability to raise funds by charging an affordable fee for attendance. Coral Springs and Parkland school PTA/PTOs, scout troops, youth groups, and after-school enrichment programs have used our anti-bullying program and report positive, lasting results.
Help us put an end to bullying in our community!
